T57170 "C" Frame Manipulator

Originally designed for safe and easy removal and installation of EMD power assemblies, air compressors, auxiliary generators, inertial filters, it is now used for removal and installation of many GE locomotive components as well.

This photo to the right shows the manipulator complete with hydraulic pump, hose and ram without the specialized attachments neccessary for the specific applications. Four pickup points are provided on the top member to aid various applications, and a slip pin with safety clip is provided for ease of moving the clevis from point to point.

The photo below shows the T57170APP "C" Frame Manipulator with Air Powered Remote Control Pump.

This features the same lifter as shown to the right except it is equipped with an air powered pump with a hand held remote control. A flow restrictor has also been provided to limit the speed when lowering a load. A very popular version.
