EMD Split Gear Lifter

This lifter was designed to attach and lift a single section of the EMD Split Gear. It is mainly for the 3 piece ring gear if the locomotive is equipped. People have used it as well when they remove the old ring gear and cut it up in place, then use the lifter to remove the pieces. The interface has a machined groove to match the profile of the split gear and is tightened to secure a single section. The section is removed from the rest of the gear and the assembly can be manipulated with the handle extension on the opposite side of the lifter.

The swing arm will also lock in place by tightening a lock on the side of the gusset. There is a storage block welded to the vertical beam to store the handle when not in use. Rated load: 100 Lbs
