Battery Lifter for GE FDL Engine
Product Description
This tool was developed to ease the installation and removal of batteries on GE locomotives. The pickup point can be adjusted so that the lifter is level both loaded and unloaded. The spacer plates and stops on the forks provide the proper spacing so that the smaller batteries are at the same center of gravity as the larger trays.
This version supersedes the T54922 with an improvement of the fork arrangements. The new forks are custom machined and mechanically attached to more precisely match the tubing dimensions. This allows the operator to slide the forks between hole positions much easier, and the load is more evenly distributed on the tubing.
The T54922C Mobile Storage Cart is avialable separately for an easy and moveable storage option.
